Hie I made a NeoLoader build on Debian, it should be more cross compatible than a ubunti build.
here it is: update.neoloader.to/linux/debian/x64/NeoLoader.tar.gz
If the normal neolaoder for linux release did not start proeprly on your linux try this one.

Why not a .deb package then ? Easy installer for all debian branch distros (debian, ubuntu, mint, etc.)

I dont think such a packet would be compatible with the auto updater concept.

No in the worst case upon uninstalation it would leave all files installed by the update routine behind...
